Review Process 

The Academic Journal of Legal and Social Research adheres strictly to the highest standards of publication ethics and takes a zero-tolerance approach to malpractice. The journal follows the guidelines set by the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE).

Duties of Authors:

  • Authors must submit only original work that has not been published or is under consideration elsewhere. 
  • Proper acknowledgment of sources and citations must be ensured to avoid plagiarism. 
  • Any potential conflicts of interest must be disclosed at the time of submission. 
  • Authors must participate in the peer review process and respond diligently to editorial feedback. 

Duties of Reviewers:

  • Reviewers must conduct objective, constructive, and timely evaluations. 
  • Confidentiality of the review process must be strictly maintained. 
  • Reviewers must disclose any conflict of interest that may affect impartial assessment. 

Duties of Editors: 

  • Editors must ensure fair and unbiased handling of all manuscripts. 
  • Editorial decisions must be based solely on scholarly merit, regardless of authors’ gender, ethnicity, affiliation, or beliefs. 
  • The editorial board shall act upon any ethical complaints or allegations in accordance with COPE’s procedures.
