Review Process

The Academic Journal of Legal and Social Research adheres strictly to the highest standards of publication ethics and takes a zero-tolerance approach to malpractice. The journal follows the guidelines set by the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE).

Duties of Authors:

Authors must submit only original work that has not been published or is under consideration elsewhere.
Proper acknowledgment of sources and citations must be ensured to avoid plagiarism.
Any potential conflicts of interest must be disclosed at the time of submission.
Authors must participate in the peer review process and respond diligently to editorial feedback.

Duties of Reviewers:

Reviewers must conduct objective, constructive, and timely evaluations.
Confidentiality of the review process must be strictly maintained.
Reviewers must disclose any conflict of interest that may affect impartial assessment.

Duties of Editors:

Editors must ensure fair and unbiased handling of all manuscripts.
Editorial decisions must be based solely on scholarly merit, regardless of authors’ gender, ethnicity, affiliation, or beliefs.
The editorial board shall act upon any ethical complaints or allegations in accordance with COPE’s procedures.
